Vertigo at Nyack New York

The challenge - to create a restaurant and music venue with a difference in a brown stone listed building. The venue needed to evoke the youthfulness and staying power of U2. Vertigo was born - a three floor over basement design that evokes the rock ethos and real vertigo with wrap around floors from which stage and performance areas form in theatre style to create an awesome experience of vertical and dramatic open space.

In keeping with the building's history, balconies and staircases were dressed with newly manufactured railings and balustrades of cast pewter and aluminum, inspired by the art deco period. To fit out the interiors with art and art deco sculptures, chandeliers, wall lights, seating, floor and wall treatments in mosaics and cast iron fire places; McNally used their international network to source from Asia, India, USA, Ireland and Eastern Europe.
