The Dusit Dubai is a well known architectural iconic five-star hotel with the exterior look of giant tuning fork. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road in central Dubai, it combines the latest in luxury with traditional Thai hospitality. McNally Design Dubai completed architectural design and project supervision for the lobby, mezzanine floor, bar, coffee area and prayer rooms.

The design and business challenges were to give the property a more intimate Thai ambience and increase revenues. McNally Design added two boardrooms and created different break out areas and adaptable rooms for large groups.

The lobby is designed for efficient circulation with visual cues of water and planting providing a soothing ambience. A large water fountain cascades beside dramatic circular seats with three meter high lights.

The reception and lobby are a dramatic fusion of modern and Thai influences. The bar “My Bar” is a piano bar with a difference in that the piano actually forms part of the bar counter which embraces the piano’s classical baby grand curves.
