Lotus One - Dubai

The brief was to deliver a new 108 covers fusion restaurant in The World Trade Centre in Dubai around a full day-part trading clock to attract visitors and exhibitors looking for a coffee or lunchtime break away from the intensity of the number of trade shows and exhibitions hosted in Dubai.

We had to create a concept that would allow guests to become totally absorbed in. Lighting creates the mood. The lighting gives a complete and variable colour wash to the venue. Hundreds of fibre optic lights dramatise sheer fabric drapes on the walls, the glass floor, recesses in the walls, back bar, mirrored glass wall and front bar surface.

Other features include swing chairs suspended on wire ropes, a glass floor, acrylic bar stools and ultra chic contemporary sofas. Lotus One has now become a Dubai landmark restaurant.
