GATE ONE OPENS DEBATE ON KEY AIRPORT COMMERCIAL STRATEGIES
May 2007 Singapore – Presentation by Noel Derby
Airport marketing mix – how will/must it change?
Airport positioning strategies
New “class” terminals have been shaping the future in airport design with both ends of the passenger spectrum – low cost and luxury – earning their dedicated place at airports. How do revenue streams differ from “traditional” airport models in terms of non-aeronautical revenues, and how do brands perceive this development?
Airport communications strategies
With the development of airports from public services to multi-service commercial enterprises, airports have evolved into brands in their own right, increasingly competing against each other to become the continental, national or even regional hub. How they market themselves both to the stakeholders and to the traveling consumer is vital to making a success of this evolution.
